About WyckstedThe name "Wycksted" derives itself from an ancient word "Wyck" meaning green (alive) and "Sted" meaning steadfast and strong. Wycksted is situated between the Kaipara harbor and New Zealand´s vast farmland country. Surrounded by ancient and native trees, abundant in wildlife and animals, it offers a peaceful and magical setting. We are currently rebuilding our teaching area which will include the shop,this will be open to Wycksted customers. Wycksted welcomes you to our online, retail store. We supply Wiccan, Magickal and Mystical items that are based on ancient, traditional and modern beliefs of the Craft. Our products have been made locally as well as being sourced from various countries from around the world. Many of our items are also made here at "Wycksted" including Potions and Lotions, Herbal blends, Brooms and the Spellcasting range. The Black Cat that greets you as you enter Wycksted, is one of our familiars. He works with us and acts as a guardian over our Magick and spellcasting. He also features in the Familiars catagory, helping to put his paw of approval on items for those who work amongst us in Animal form. Browse through our wide range of items online that we offer from herbs and spices, essential and magickal oils, candles and jewellery to divination and other Wiccan tools. Venture into The Apothecary to see what´s brewing or browse through our library, You might just find that special something. We have also introduced a "Green Witch" category. This is all about natural and organic edibles & healthcare. After all Witches are worshippers of the natural elements be it in spells, potions or kitchen witchery with the foods they conjure. As we know, healthy magick is created by a healthy Witch. At Wycksted we believe in organic and natural farming wherever possible. This includes managing our cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens to encourage a healthy and happy life for them. We follow this guideline ourselves and eat from our garden, have a supply of free range eggs and homegrown meat. No-one is taking on a Dairy cow at this time, maybe in the future. If there is a particular item that you would like made in the form of Potions and lotions, Apothecary, Magickal oils or Incense (positive magick only) please let us know, as we can make it up for you, no extra costs.
